Α. Σύμφωνα με την ελληνική νομοθεσία η λειτουργία ασύρματων δικτύων εξωτερικού ή εσωτερικού χώρου, χωρίς να απαιτείται σχετική αδειοδότηση, επιτρέπεται στις ζώνες συχνοτήτων α) 2400-2483,5 MHz με μέγιστη ισχύ τα 100 mW e.i.r.p. και β) 5470-5725 MHz με μέγιστη ισχύ 1 W e.i.r.p. Στην ισχύ αυτή συνυπολογίζεται η ισχύς εξοδου του πομπού και κέρδος της κεραίας.
Αρμόδια για την εποπτεία του φάσματος είναι η Εθνική Επιτροπή Επικοινωνιών και Ταχυδρομείων (ΕΕΤΤ).
Β. Σύμφωνα με την ελληνική νομοθεσία στις ζώνες συχνοτήτων 5150-5250 MHz και 5250-5350 MHz επιτρέπεται η χωρίς άδεια λειτουργία ασυρμάτων δικτύων με μέγιστη επιτρεπόμενη ισχύ τα 200 mW e.i.r.p. Η χρήση των συστημάτων αυτών περιορίζεται αποκλειστικά σε εσωτερικούς χώρους. Στην ισχύ αυτή συνυπολογίζεται η ισχύς εξοδου του πομπού και κέρδος της κεραίας.
